Hello! I am an LCSWR transitioning out of a 20+ private practice career that focused on an Integrative Mind Body Spirit approach. My focus for the next decade is to share some of the insights & information I’ve accumulated through a blog called Strategies of the Spirit Blog. http://www.danupress.com/strategies-of-the-spirit-blog.

I am also focusing on facilitating groups with a focus on creativity and intuition. This semester I’m offering a Dream Study Group and launching my Creativity & Camaraderie Club Handbook (which would be a great practice builder for a mental health clinician!)

My most popular post in the last six months was Secret List of Fairy Tales that Can Change Your Life. One of my favorites was: Friendship: Our Mothers Were Right, But They Didn’t See This Coming (in which I created an infographic…easy! I used free http://www.canva.com)
I’m looking forward to seeing what others are doing! Thanks for the opportunity!

Yes! I’m an LMFT and my company (Marriage & Family Therapy of Trumbull™) blog is http://blog.mft3.com. MFT3 has been open for 5 years now and there are 4 clinicians practicing together here. In my blog I write about topics that I am interested in (abuse, trauma, parenting) and try to make it a useful arena for professionals and clients alike.

I also am responsible for the online presence of the Connecticut Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CTAMFT) and do their blog as well: http://ctamft.wordpress.com/

CTAMFT is the state association that represents MFTs in Connecticut. We are the state branch of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (http://www.aamft.org) and as such have an elected board of members to help educate, inform and promote what MFTs are doing in the state and nationally. We have a large yearly conference in April and a Fall continuing education workshop. We offer links, information and resources for MFT professionals, and all mental health professionals as well. We have a website (http://www.ctamft.org), a blog (http://ctamft.wordpress.com), a Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/CTAMFT) and a Twitter account (http://twitter.com/ctamft).

We send out a monthly e-News letter as we have retired our print newsletter in keeping with the times. We also have an opt-in Listserv for things like workshops, groups, space available, job listings, referral networks and the like. Any mental health professional who is in CT or nearby can opt-in by sending a blank message to: CTAMFT-on@mail-list.com

    Dorlee,
You are fantastic! What a great way to link up with the experts in your field. You know me and my blog. It’s about health issues, but I am venturing out more into recovery from addiction as I see many who have Hepatitis C and liver disease have dealt with alcoholism or drug use.
I’m working on some blogs that help to deal with the inner life and how healing your mind is greatly connected with healing your body.
Good to see you as always! I haven’t been over to your blog in a while with the busy holidays. Sounds like you have a lot of great things going on as usual.
    Once again, You are fantastic,
    Karen
